The current Pondo pilot focuses on Grade 5 CAPS Mathematics.

School-aligned. Neuroinclusive. Real progress.

Curious Learners.
Brighter Futures.

Pondo is an AI-first, school-aligned adaptive learning system being built to understand how each child learns, give the minimum effective support, and verify independent understanding. The current pilot focuses on Grade 5 CAPS Mathematics.

Not a website with AI features. Intelligence sits at the centre.

Pondo is being built around one operating intelligence that interprets learning, chooses the next step, adapts support and checks what a child can do on their own — while parents and teachers keep the judgement, consent and permissions.

Humans govern. Pondo operates.

For every kind of learner. One Pondo.

Confident learners, restless learners, learners who need more time or a different way of seeing a problem, and learners with dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD, autism or no diagnosis at all — all use the same Pondo. It is designed to adapt to what it observes a child needs, not to labels.

How a learning session flows

Short, focused and deliberate — from arriving to finishing.
  1. 1

    Check in

A gentle start, at the child's pace.

  2. 2

    Remember

A short look back at earlier learning.

  3. 3

    Find the starting point

A few questions show where support should begin.

  4. 4

    Learn

A clear explanation of today's idea.

  5. 5

    Try it

A first attempt, with help available.

  6. 6

    Try another way

If it's tricky, Pondo changes the support or the picture, then offers a different question.

  7. 7

    Show what you can do

An independent check, with hints paused and reading tools still on.

  8. 8

    Use it somewhere new

The same idea in a different context, then a short reflection and a deliberate finish.

What Pondo learns from

Pondo is designed to learn from observable learning interactions — answers, the support that was used, what happened next, and what a child can do later on their own. It does not diagnose, and it does not sort children into fixed learning styles.

Evidence you can trust

Every kind of evidence stays separate. There is no single blended mastery percentage.
  • Practice

Learning attempts while the idea is new.

  • Assisted

What a child did with help — recorded as assisted, never as independent.

  • Independent

What a child did with instructional help paused.

  • Retained

Earlier learning recalled correctly after time has passed.

  • Transfer

The same idea used correctly in a new context.

  • Insufficient evidence

When there isn't enough to say, Pondo says it isn't sure yet.

Parents and teachers bring context and judgement

Parents give consent, optional context and permissions. Teachers, when a parent invites them, share the current classroom topic. Neither has to run the learning — they review clear evidence instead of guessing.

You're done for today.

Pondo is designed to stop deliberately once enough useful learning has happened. No streaks, points or endless feed — just the right amount of learning, then time to live life.
